Cette famille comprend plusieurs sous-familles ou technologies, telles que :<\/p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>LCO : Oxyde de lithium et de cobalt<\/li>\n\t<li>NCA : Nickel Cobalt Aluminium<\/li>\n\t<li>NMC : Nickel Mangan\u00e8se Cobalt<\/li>\n\t<li>LiFePO4 ou LFP : phosphate de fer lithi\u00e9<\/li>\n\t<li>LTO : Lithium Titanate Oxide, etc...<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>On entend souvent dire qu'un produit est \u00e9quip\u00e9 de <strong>batteries \u00ab Lithium-Ion \u00bb<\/strong>, cela n\u2019a pas r\u00e9ellement de signification sur la technologie utilis\u00e9e. Cependant, par habitude, la technologie d\u00e9sign\u00e9e par le terme Lithium-Ion est g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement le <strong>LFP, LCO, NCA, NMC ou encore LTO.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Chacune de ces technologies a <strong>des caract\u00e9ristiques tr\u00e8s diff\u00e9rentes<\/strong>, notamment en termes de <strong>s\u00e9curit\u00e9<\/strong>, de dur\u00e9e de vie mais aussi de recyclabilit\u00e9, ou encore d'usage de terres et m\u00e9taux rares. les cellules lithium-ion est li\u00e9e au ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne de <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Thermal_runaway\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">l'emballement thermique en op\u00e9ration normale<\/a>. Il s'agit d'une r\u00e9action d'\u00e9chauffement de la batterie en cours d'utilisation, caus\u00e9e par la nature des mat\u00e9riaux utilis\u00e9s dans la chimie de la batterie.<\/p> \n\n<p>L'emballement thermique est principalement caus\u00e9 par la sollicitation des batteries dans des conditions sp\u00e9cifiques, telles qu'une surcharge dans des conditions climatiques d\u00e9favorables. Le r\u00e9sultat de l'emballement thermique d'une cellule d\u00e9pend de son niveau de charge et peut conduire, dans le pire des cas, \u00e0 une inflammation, voire \u00e0 une explosion de la cellule lithium-ion.<\/p>\n \n<p>Cependant, en raison de leur composition chimique, tous les types de technologie lithium-ion n'ont pas la m\u00eame sensibilit\u00e9 \u00e0 ce ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne.\n\nLa figure ci-dessous montre l'\u00e9nergie produite lors d'un emballement thermique induit artificiellement. <\/p>\n\n<span class=\"su-lightbox\" data-mfp-src=\"https:\/\/www.powertechsystems.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/03\/Thermal-runaway-lithium.webp\" data-mfp-type=\"image\" data-mobile=\"yes\">\n<figure id=\"attachment_9147\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-9147\" style=\"width: 400px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.powertechsystems.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/03\/Thermal-runaway-lithium-400x272.webp\" alt=\"Emballement thermique Lithium-Ion - Impact de la chimie des cellules\" width=\"400\" height=\"272\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-9147\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-9147\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Emballement thermique du Lithium-Ion<br>Impact de la chimie des cellules<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/span>\n\n<p>On constate que parmi les technologies Lithium-Ion cit\u00e9es pr\u00e9c\u00e9demment, <strong>le LCO et le NCA sont les chimies les plus dangereuses<\/strong> du point de vue de l\u2019emballement thermique avec une \u00e9l\u00e9vation de temp\u00e9rature maximale d\u2019environ <strong>470\u00b0C par minute<\/strong>.<\/p>\nLe produit PowerRack est une solution de batteries<strong> NMC<\/strong> d\u00e9gage une \u00e9nergie environ deux fois inf\u00e9rieure, avec une \u00e9l\u00e9vation de 200\u00b0C par minute, mais ce niveau d\u2019\u00e9nergie provoque <strong>dans tous les cas, la combustion interne des mat\u00e9riaux et l\u2019inflammation de la cellule.<\/strong>.\n\n<p>En outre, on constate que <strong>LiFePO4 \u2013 LFP<\/strong> est <strong>faiblement sujette au ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne d\u2019emballement thermique<\/strong> avec une augmentation de la temp\u00e9rature d'\u00e0 peine <strong>1,5\u00b0C par minute<\/strong>.<\/p> \n\n<p>Avec ce faible niveau d'\u00e9nergie lib\u00e9r\u00e9e, <strong>l'emballement thermique en op\u00e9ration normale<\/strong> des cellules Lithium Fer Phosphate est <strong>un \u00e9v\u00e9nement intrins\u00e8quement peu improbable<\/strong> , et m\u00eame tr\u00e8s difficile \u00e0 d\u00e9clencher artificiellement.<\/p> \n\n<p>Plus r\u00e9cemment, <a href=\"\/fr\/technique\/la-revolution-des-batteries-solides-solid-state\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">avec l'arriv\u00e9e de <strong>technologie LFP Solid-State<\/strong><\/a>, le niveau de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 d\u00e9passe aujourd'hui tous les standards de s\u00e9curit\u00e9, avec un <strong>emballement thermique intrins\u00e8quement quasi-impossible \u00e0 d\u00e9clencher<\/strong> en conditions d\u2019op\u00e9rations normales.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Associ\u00e9e \u00e0 notre technologie <a href=\"\/fr\/produits\/autres\/battery-management-system-bms\/\">BMS Matrix<\/a>, les packs LFP \u00e0 \u00e9lectrolyte solide comme le <a href=\"\/fr\/produits\/systeme-modulaire-powermodule-48v-lithium\/\">PowerModule Solid-State<\/a> sont actuellement les produits les plus s\u00fbrs du march\u00e9.<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<h2>S\u00e9curit\u00e9 m\u00e9canique<\/h2>\n<p>Tout comme l'emballement thermique, les cellules lithium-ion ont un niveau de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 diff\u00e9rent selon les chocs ou les traitements m\u00e9caniques qu'elles peuvent subir au cours de leur vie. <br \/>\nLes tests de p\u00e9n\u00e9tration de clou est le moyen le plus r\u00e9v\u00e9lateur pour qualifier le niveau de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 des cellules lithium-ion.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p>Le test pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 ci-dessous est r\u00e9alis\u00e9 en perforant une cellule Lithium-Ion <b>NMC<\/b> et une cellule <b>LiFePO4<\/b> .<\/p>\n<p>On retrouve ici le m\u00eame comportement <b>extr\u00eamement stable<\/b> des cellules Lithium Fer Phosphate alors que la cellule NMC s\u2019enflamme quasiment imm\u00e9diatement. <\/p>\n<p>Pour information, les cellules LCO, NCA, ou encore Lithium Polym\u00e8re ont toutes un comportement similaire au NMC lors d'un test de perforation (<b>inflammation imm\u00e9diate<\/b>)<\/p>\n\n<div class=\"su-youtube su-u-responsive-media-yes\"><iframe width=\"400\" height=\"300\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/bYtDd5Nfq-4?\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen allow=\"autoplay;
